Steps to Download MHT CET PCB Hall Ticket 2026
Step 1: Go directly to cetcell.mahacet.org. Avoid clicking links from WhatsApp forwards or non-official websites as these may redirect you to phishing pages.
Step 2: Find the MHT CET 2026 section on the homepage. Click on the PCB Hall Ticket or Admit Card download link.
Step 3: On the login screen, enter your registered Email ID and Password. Some candidates may also log in using their Application Number and Password. Fill in the CAPTCHA and proceed.
Step 4: Click “Get Hall Ticket.” Your hall ticket will open as a PDF.
Step 5: Download the file and save it in at least two places, your phone and your computer or email, so you always have a backup copy.
Step 6: Print a colour copy. Carry two printouts. Black and white prints may cause issues at certain centres. Keep one copy safe at home.
Portal Slow or Not Loading?
With approximately 7.5 lakh candidates trying to download simultaneously, the portal will likely be slow for the first few hours. If you face issues, clear your browser cache and try again. Switch to a different browser if needed. If neither works, wait 30 minutes before trying again. Do not keep refreshing aggressively as it adds server load for everyone.
If you have forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password” on the login screen and reset it through your registered email address. If there is any error in the details on your hall ticket such as name spelling, date of birth, or photograph issue, report it to CET Cell through the official grievance portal before exam day. No corrections are possible after you enter the exam hall.
Verify These Details on Your Hall Ticket
Do not just download and print. Spend 2 minutes checking each of these fields.
| Field on Hall Ticket | Action Needed |
|---|---|
| Name | Must match your government ID exactly |
| Photograph | Should be recognizable and match your current appearance |
| Roll Number | Note it down separately for reference |
| Exam Date | Confirm which date within April 21-26 is yours |
| Shift and Reporting Time | Mark your calendar. Reporting is usually 90 minutes before exam start. |
| Exam Centre Address | Look it up on Google Maps today. Plan your travel route. |
| Group Mentioned | Must say PCB. If it says PCM, report immediately. |
What to Bring to the Exam Centre
Two things are absolutely mandatory: your printed hall ticket and one original photo ID. Acceptable IDs are Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, and Driving Licence.
Leave these at home: mobile phone, smartwatch or any wearable, calculator (no virtual calculator is provided on the CBT interface either), any written notes or books, and Bluetooth devices of any kind. You will be provided rough sheets at the centre.
Arrive at least 90 minutes before your exam starts. Entry gates are closed strictly before the paper begins. There are no exceptions for late arrivals regardless of traffic or any other reason. If your exam starts at 10:00 AM, be at the centre by 8:30 AM at the latest.
MHT CET 2026 PCB Exam Structure – Know Before You Sit
The PCB group exam is split into two back-to-back papers in a single sitting of 3 hours total.
| Paper | Subject | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paper 1 | Physics (25 Qs) + Chemistry (25 Qs) | 50 | 50 | 90 minutes |
| Paper 2 | Biology – Botany and Zoology | 100 | 100 | 90 minutes |
| Total | 200 | 200 | 180 minutes |
Every question in PCB carries 1 mark. There is no 2-mark question in the PCB group (unlike PCM where Maths carries 2 marks per question). There is zero negative marking for wrong answers in MHT CET 2026.
Paper 1 runs for 90 minutes and then closes automatically. You cannot go back to Physics or Chemistry after Paper 2 begins. Manage your time within each paper carefully.
The difficulty level of Physics and Chemistry is comparable to JEE Main. Biology is comparable to NEET UG. The absence of negative marking makes MHT CET significantly less risky than NEET. Because there is no penalty, you should attempt every single one of the 200 questions. Never leave a question blank.
Syllabus Weightage You Need to Know
The question paper draws from Maharashtra State Board Class 11 and Class 12 curriculum only, not NCERT. The split is approximately 80% from Class 12 and 20% from Class 11. Biology carries 50 percent of your total PCB marks. Your Biology rank is your overall rank.
Last-Minute Revision Guide for PCB Students
With 3 to 4 days remaining before the exam begins on 21 April, here is what to focus on and what to skip.
Biology – 100 Marks (Your Highest Priority)
Biology is entirely theory and definition-based. Line-by-line reading of Maharashtra State Board textbooks is the most effective preparation strategy. Focus on these high-weightage chapters:
- Genetics and Principles of Inheritance (consistently highest-weightage chapter across years)
- Human Physiology: Digestion, Circulation, Excretion, Neural Control
- Plant Physiology: Photosynthesis, Respiration, Plant Growth and Development
- Ecology and Environmental Issues
- Biotechnology: Principles and Applications
- Reproduction in Flowering Plants and Human Reproduction
Do not start any new chapter now. Go through diagrams and labelling carefully as diagram-based questions appear regularly. A single Biology chapter revised thoroughly can yield 8 to 12 direct marks.
Chemistry – 25 Marks
Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry together cover approximately 60 to 65 percent of Chemistry questions. Prioritize:
- Organic Chemistry: Named reactions, mechanisms, functional group identification
- p-Block Elements: Properties and reactions of important compounds
- Coordination Compounds
- Electrochemistry: Formulas and numerical problems
- Chemical Kinetics: Rate equations and numerical
Physics – 25 Marks
Around 65 percent of Physics questions are numerical. In the last 3 days, focus on formula revision and solving 5 to 8 numerical problems per topic from previous year papers.
- Current Electricity and Magnetism
- Optics and Wave Theory of Light
- Electrostatics
- Modern Physics: Photoelectric Effect, Nuclear Physics
Do not attempt to cover the entire Physics syllabus in 3 days. Selective but thorough revision of high-weightage chapters is more productive than shallow coverage of everything.
Exam Strategy on the Day
Since there is no negative marking, the single most important rule is: attempt all 200 questions. Even a blind guess gives you a 25 percent probability of a correct answer. Leaving a question blank guarantees zero.
In Paper 1, attempt Chemistry questions first if you find them faster to answer. This saves time for Physics numericals which require more working. Spend no more than 2 minutes on any question. Flag it for review and come back at the end if you are stuck.
In Paper 2, pace yourself at roughly 50 seconds per Biology question. Most theory questions in Biology can be answered in 20 to 30 seconds if you have revised well. Use saved time to review flagged questions before the paper ends.
MHT CET Session 2 for PCB – A Genuine Second Chance
MHT CET 2026 follows a two-session pattern similar to JEE Main. PCB Session 2 is scheduled on 10 and 11 May 2026. Any candidate who appears in Session 1 can also register for Session 2 independently.
If your Session 1 result is below your target, Session 2 gives you a fresh attempt within the same academic year without losing a year. The better percentile from either session counts for admission. Admit cards for Session 2 will be released separately on cetcell.mahacet.org closer to the May dates.
Courses Accessible Through MHT CET PCB Score
A strong MHT CET PCB score opens admission to:
- B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) at government and private pharmacy colleges across Maharashtra. This is the primary admission route for PCB students through MHT CET.
- B.Sc. Agriculture and related agriculture degree programs
- Certain allied health sciences programs at select institutions
Note that MBBS and BDS admissions in Maharashtra are based on NEET UG scores and not MHT CET. MHT CET PCB does not qualify you for MBBS admission.
